The Little Cottage Community Cafe

I recently discovered my new favorite lunch spot in Summerville! After reading all the rave reviews on Facebook, my mom and I decided to take a chance and try out a new place to celebrate my sister's birthday. The charming little cottage far exceeded our expectations – not only was the food fresh and delicious, but our server Alex was an absolute delight! However, the experience at LCCC was so much more than just a meal. Upon speaking with owners Kathy and David, we learned about the upcoming events they have planned, such as a reception on the 3rd Thursday of each month, a "trade a book" area on the 3rd floor, and a food pantry on the side veranda for those in need. I highly recommend giving this place a try – you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes from their amazing menu. The carrot cake and chocolate mousse are to die for!

After deciding to make the journey from Pawleys Island to Summerville to explore the area, a local business owner suggested we try this restaurant. It turned out to be the highlight of our trip. The owners were incredibly friendly, as was our waiter. The food was tasty and the portions were large. We even got a sample of the soup of the day before deciding to order it. I would recommend that hospitality students visit this restaurant to see how true southern hospitality is executed. The owners make an effort to build relationships with their customers, making them feel like old friends by the time they have to leave. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for the full experience.

Wow! This place was phenomenal. I don't try new places because I'm always let down. However this place is a MUST! The food was AMAZING! I was obsessed with how delicious the dessert and food was! Customer service was spectacular! My waiter gave the BEST Customer service I have received in a very long time. They have a play area by the outdoor sitting area for kids. Next time I will try that out with the kids. I am so very grateful for a wonderful night here. Thank you for the amazing service.

The restaurant has a friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I ordered the fried flounder, but they offered to grill it for me instead, which turned out to be delicious. The prices were excellent and it's easy to see why the Icehouse has won multiple 'Reader's Choice' awards. The homemade desserts all sounded amazing, and I tried the buttermilk lemon zest creme brulee which was a refreshing twist on the classic dessert. The sweet potato fries were great, and I was impressed to finally find broccoli that wasn't overcooked. It was a perfect combination with the nicely cooked flounder.

Delicious! Almost didn't want to write this review so I can keep this place a secret, but it was so good I had to share. Great atmosphere and excellent food. We had the pork ribeye and it melted in our mouths. Highly recommend!
