JMK FishMart - Summerside

Service was a tad awkward, but that's alrightIf I had to say anything about this place, it's that I wish the menu was larger.

My 1.6 lb lobster at JMK Fish mart (only $9 a pound steamed) It was so good that they don't even serve you butter.

JMK Fish Mart _This little place is a must stop It's scenic located bay side in the historic queens wharf area, next to a walking path.

Hot from your boardwalk stroll or bike ride? Just head up Central Street and east a block or so, and you're at the doorstep of the best Ice Cream Parlour in all of the Maritimes. This vintage property boasts more than the best desserts around...there are quiet spaces inside and out to sit and savour the flavours. Some of the plantings in the Victorian gardens are truly unique and you can read their history on the FB or web sites. Art by local artists decorates the walls. Unique, creamy, honest-to-goodness real ice cream, with none of the ingredients you can't pronounce or shouldn't eat, is on offer, as well as sodas, milkshakes, and island made snacks and gifts.Try blueberry lemon curd first...then the PB&J or chocolate. Taste samples (on the house) will narrow your preferences and help you decide - but there is no bad choice. Ultra clean, with very engaging and helpful young people serving you. Open Monday to Saturday at noon. This ice cream is seriously GREAT, with generous scoops, unique blending of flavours, and at its price point and pretty setting, puts Cows stingy offerings to shame.

I absolutely adore the live fresh lobster at this restaurant. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, and the pre-cooked lobster is also delicious. I highly recommend trying it.
