Via Roma - Suitland

An amazing experience here at Via Roma the atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. The food is outstanding. This our 3rd Tuesday here we will be back again next week.

It is still the greatest Italian food in the area. It has the feel of a real trattoria in Italy. Two thumbs up to Toni and Biaggio, you have brought Italy to Maryland.

It was my first visit to this restaurant, and I really enjoyed it. I sat at the bar, but didn’t receive a greeting until I placed my order. The restaurant has adapted to modern times, as you need to use your phone to access the menu. The selection is quite good. I ordered a personal pizza and pasta with salmon and shrimp. The pizza was delicious, and you could tell everything was made from scratch. The dough wasn't too heavy, so I didn't feel overly full after just one slice. The manager came by to check on us each time our food arrived, showing that they take pride in their establishment. The only downside was that there were no straws available for drinks. My friend and I found this a bit strange, as ice tends to melt and can dilute the flavor without a straw. Aside from that, it's a great place!

I ordered the Alfredo with added chicken, and I was a bit taken aback when I received my small portion. The pasta didn’t come with any bread, and there wasn't much chicken included. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t impress me. However, I gave a high rating because the staff was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere felt like an excellent place to hang out with friends, watch football, and play games. I might have just chosen the wrong dish, so I plan to give it another try. I had already eaten half of the meal before taking the picture.

I had a wonderful experience with genuine Italian cuisine at this restaurant. My wife and I shared a delicious kale salad, calamari, pizza, and cocktails. Even my very particular 3-year-old daughter enjoyed her chicken tenders! We also took some dessert home with us. One of the owners personally stopped by to greet us, which was a nice touch. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews; this place is the real deal, and I’m so glad it’s close to home in Waldorf!
