Mochi Sushi - Sugar Land

Good solid Japanese style food, good service and reasonable prices. Hidden gem. Go try it!

This restaurant is conveniently located in my neighborhood, and I had only visited it once many years ago. We went there tonight, and it was fantastic! We enjoyed sushi, gyoza, chicken katsu, and ramen, and everything was delicious. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, and since it's so close to home, we'll definitely make it one of our favorite spots.

I took my youngest out for his first real sushi experience (it wasn't cheap), choosing a bento box and a medium sushi combo. Each of the 12 sushi pieces featured generous cuts of salmon, various tunas, unagi, and more. The shrimp was the highlight—large and perfectly cooked, it melted in my mouth, paired with an incredible tempura-fried shrimp head that added amazing flavors! It was the best shrimp sushi I've ever had. We both thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will definitely return!

Ordered off the menu and received a sushi role that was so stale it must’ve been there all day- encountered raw chicken. Only getting two stars because the young waiter was apologetic and helpful.

The smell that hit us as we walked into the restaurant was off-putting enough to make anyone want to walk out, but we were in a bind with a hungry toddler who loves Asian cuisine. The sushi was decent, but the salmon teriyaki lacked flavor. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, even though it's very close to home.
