The Maybush Inn - Suffolk Coastal

The meal, service, and location were all wonderful. The restaurant is offering a 50% discount on food during January and February after 5pm, which is a great deal. I will definitely be returning to this stunning riverside location.

To start, I was greeted rudely at the bar by a staff member when I mentioned I had a reservation. After 15 minutes, I was finally seated at a small, dirty table without receiving any menus. It took about 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order, and another 20 minutes for a simple diet coke and lemonade. When we finally got the attention of a server to order our food, the nachos we ordered were just okay. The lasagne was very oily and had too much melted cheese, making me feel sick. My friend's beef burger was dry and had fatty parts, making it inedible. The prices were not cheap, so we expected much better quality. Overall, the service was poor and the food was even worse, and we will not be returning. While we have heard good things about other Deben Inn locations, the Maybush was a disappointment. Stay away from this restaurant.

The restaurant is a charming, dog-friendly pub with picturesque views of the River Deben and coastal walks nearby. The food is fantastic, the staff are very welcoming, and when the weather is nice, there are lovely outdoor tables where you can enjoy the stunning location. They have an excellent menu and specials board. This place is a must-visit if you are in the area. We have always had a great experience here.

Popped in with my daughters and extended family after a morning out. The food was nice quality pub food with friendly and prompt service. Lovely outdoor area on the river. A nice area to sit and watch the river or allow the kids to stretch their legs (bearing in mind the proximity to the river). There’s also a nice walk along the river to walk off your lunch.

Normally i have good things to say about the maybush but this trip was awful… i ordered my main course to come out with the salt and pepper squid, but the squid didn’t come out until i had finished my main course, so pretty much...
