The service and food was lovely I could not have asked for anything better. wonderful meal! definitely recommend
I visited for a social evening and barbecue to celebrate Alde Blyth Community Radio's first anniversary on-air. I arrived to be welcomed with a glass of Pimm's and chatted to colleagues in the spacious bar, which with the restaurant is open to non-members. The barbecue was announced and we were presented with a broad, plentiful selection of items, to which we did full justice. Only two youngsters were able to answer the invitation to seconds! We were then offered a selection of mini-cakes, for which somehow we found a little space. The premises were clean and welcoming, which is always a sign of good management. There is ample parking space and it's a pity I live too far away to make it a regular venue, especially with the eye-watering cost of fuel. Recommended.
If you want lovely home cooked food at a resonable price then look no further. The food is always great, plenty of choice decent beer. Overall it is great value all around. There is quite often a different food theme night, which gives you an opportunity to taste all sorts if dishes from around the world. There is also quite a lot different of music theme nights too! The Sunday carvery is spot on! The meat is cooked Perfectly with a wide choice of veggies to add to your Sunday roast! P.S the gravy is Deeeeelicious! I would highly recommend the Sizewell club to eat, drink party!
I was not looking forward to my visit. Sunday lunch, and in particular a roast bring back memories from a childhood I strive to forget. But it was a gathering of in-laws and duty mean I have to attend. On my last visit to the function room here I spoke about apprenticeships at meeting of townspeople. Today, the room had been tastefully transformed, with white tablecloths and subtle uplighters on the wall. A choice of meats and all you want to take of the vegetables and batter puddings provided too tempting for some. I saw plates piled high, whilst others were more. I ate sufficient and passed on the puddings. These too were generous in size and enjoyed by others in my party. All in all Sunday lunch here represents excellent value for money and a surprisingly high quality of food and service. I don't like Sunday lunch as a rule, but might make anexception and eat here again.
