La Cantina Mexican - Subotica

Excellent eating, good ambiente with beautiful and pleasant staff. (they have made some good food tips) our recommended. Five.

Strange how good it is in such area. Very good burritos. Must try if you are around Subotica.

We were four friends and we ate beef and chicken burritos, chicken schnitzel (which is technically not Mexican but was delicious never the less , shopska salad and fajita salad with chicken. Food was surprisingly good, freshly prepared and the portions generous. The fajita chicken salad was the only mediocre dish it had lots of cheese in it but the quality of cheese was wanting. They have Moretti beer (a bottle costs only 200 RSD which is 1.65 EUR and is half the cost of this quality Italian beer in Italy! . The drinks were chilled and fairly priced. Service is fast and friendly from the young, English speaking waiter. Overall we were extremely satisfied and will return.

A quick and tasty meal but not quite five stars for us. We ordered a fajita plate but what we received was not fajitas (we have eaten a lot of Mexican including in Mexico). Fajitas should be grilled strips of meat and veg served with corn tacos, however we were served chicken in sauce with cheese and sour cream, a refried beans mixture, and a bread bun. It was enjoyable and the flavours were fairly authentic, but it was not fajitas.

The burrito was flavorless, there was way too much sauce inside, and there were barely any veggies even though I ordered a vegetarian burito.... sour cream was added even though I said nooo sour cream! Jalapenos were not added as instructed. hot sauce was not on the side as instructed. the paprika sauce I paid extra for was flavorless. the nachos were just a bag of chips emptied into a box. the cheese was small, not melted, and does not pass as nachos! this was a terrible order and I will not be ordering again! I will not recommend this place to anyone.
