Bidrage med feedbackI chose Floyds to sit outside and have a coffee. I went in to order and thought the interior was wonderful. The staff were so very friendly and welcoming. After my outside coffee my friends joined me and also thought it was lovely and we went inside for another round! I highly recommend this gem
Famished by 2:00 pm, we finally found Floyd's. Signage didn't help much. A name on the window just might! This is a funky little cafe, with decor you'd expect in Subi. Cafe furniture, much of it tastefully created from recycled timber, works well. We felt comfortably 'at home'.Verdict: Great food, good coffee. My wife enjoyed her Smoked Salmon Bagel... and I really relished my Bacon-Egg-and-Spinach Burrito. Service was friendly and professional... especially since menu choice was quite limited by 2:00 pm. My cappuccino was perfect... thanks!Entertainment Book Members' 25% discount voucher applies... a nice bonus!
Good Bits- Friendly and smiling waitress, convenient location, newspapers availableNot so Good Bits- poached eggs were soft but cold, Toast was cold, butter was as has sadly become the lazy custom, still in the small sachet, too hard to spread as had not been taken out of fridge, not enough butter anyway for two pieces sourdough toast, house beans were simply baked beans out of can with extra tomato sauce as far as I can tell. Coffee luke warm.
Liked the menu, something for everyone. Staff were really friendly but decidedly absent a lot. It wasn't particularly busy but we waited to be seated, then waited to order then waited (longer than normal) for the food - the chef actually bought out our food-as he even got sick of waiting for the wait staff. We heard the kitchen bell dinging continually- but no food coming out. The chef got us water as well. Pork roll had lots of meat - large serve, and really nice red wine gravy, would have been better with fries - they have to be ordered separately and you get a full bowl.I had a Brussel sprout salad which was lovely and some grilled chicken - really moist and tender, unfortunately it had sat near pork somewhere and tasted more like pork than chicken.I had a lovely juice - lots of green stuff - I'd go back just for that alone. So, i think the foods good - and well priced, but the service was so patchy, and my brothers lunch hour got used up waiting for the service. It's a pity it could be awesome.
I met my husband in Subiaco for lunch today, we had originally planned to go elsewhere but changed our minds last minute. Walking along Rokeby Rd there are so many dining options however we decided on Floyd's and I'm so glad we did. I ordered the Green shakshouka and hubby the Avocado and bacon stack. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and good coffee! We will visit again!
