Buzz Cafe - Sturgeon

A group of friends wander into a small town in search of breakfast and discover a secret, culinary cove. Braving the cabal of locals near the door, they decamp to a table by the kitchen. Piles of fried potatoes, massive pancakes, strings of bacon, and voluptuous omelets appear seemingly unbidden… silence quickly befalls the strangers’ corner. Plates emptied, the sated band continues on their journey…Highly recommended.

I was pretty excited to try a new place. We didnt even know this place existed until we did a Google search for different restaurants near home. I called ahead at 6:30 to verify they were indeed open and not closing until 8. Hopped in the car and came over from the north west side of Moberly. Walked in, the register was on the left, there wasn't a sign indicating to seat ourselves or wait to be seated so since the employee was ringing someone out, we waited. There were 5 of us, myself and 4 teen girls. We stepped aside for the customers to leave, the employee walked to the other side while we waited, she did something in the back and finally said can I help you with something Very rude. I said we were there to eat and she said yeah ok, whatever....we close at 8 at this point I looked at the clock, it's 7:10. There is a 4 top with their food and that's about it. We just left. If you want to close early then put a sign on the door. I think 50 minutes is more than reasonable to do a 5 top. If it wasn't or something else was going on it could of been handled entirely differently.

Walked in and immediately was met at the door by an employee with a snarky attitude telling us they were closing. I don't think I would have left a negative review if she would have approached us with more of a positive attitude. Now, we will probably never try this place out. Oh well.

This restaurant offers excellent food and attentive service. There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and the portions are generous. I highly recommend trying the club sandwich with homemade chips - it was absolutely delicious. The chili is also a must-try dish.
