Sat beside the old Sharpness to Stroud canal and situated on a country lane This is must if you are visiting the area, either on foot driving or riding Lovely place to visit all year round Great food and really friendly staff The ship encompasses all that a country pub should.

Had Sunday lunch here after a walk. The food was very good, can’t fault it. I do feel that there are a few too many tables but they were doing a roaring trade. The staff were lovely too.

This is our go-to pub and we frequent it often. We have never had a negative meal or experience here. Whether we come as a couple, with friends, or to celebrate special occasions like birthdays and Christmas, Meg and her team always provide exceptional service. The menu offers a wide selection of delicious options, making it difficult to choose just one. We always receive top-notch service and the food is consistently excellent. The staff at Meg's restaurant are very friendly and welcoming. It's a lovely pub in the village that they take great care of. We made a reservation for Friday night and had a wonderful experience once again. The food and drinks were plentiful and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning soon.

A big thank you to the staff at The Ship for providing a fantastic buffet for my mother's funeral. The food was not your typical buffet - everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We are truly grateful for making what could have been a tough day run so smoothly.
