Bidrage med feedbackI love this place, the rooms are always clean, free coffee in the lobby, personal at the reception is friendly. anyway, it is now best western plus.
Smells everywhere. nothing was clean, the recipe was extremely slow. the shower controlled its own temperature. no free breakfast for everyone at night.
We made reservations at this restaurant, formerly a Holiday Inn, and were blindsided to learn that it was closing. Despite having less than a week to make alternate arrangements, we were left high and dry. It is disheartening to see such lack of concern for customer service. This experience has definitely made me reconsider utilizing IHG hotels in the future.
The restaurant has a nice ambiance and decor. The restroom may be a bit uncomfortable for taller individuals due to the low toilet. Despite some water damage on the ceiling and a bit of dust, the overall cleanliness was acceptable. It was very quiet, allowing for a restful night's sleep. The restaurant is conveniently located near stores and other dining options. I highly recommend trying the Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express Hotels in many states and even had our wedding guests stay at one in Troy IL. Normally, we would have very good experiences.Unfortunate for us, this visit was not. We booked the hotel because we were shown that they had a pool and we thought between visiting family, we would have a pool to relax. When we checked in, we found that the pool was closed for maintenance? On Labor Day Weekend? To their credit, they did offer to make us reservations at another hotel, but by the time we got there we had traveled for 10 hours and just wanted to unwind. So we stayed. We also were offered the Recreation Center in Strongsville, IF we were willing to pay a fee to use. WHAT? No thanks. When we got to our room, the card to get in the room was not working and the door knob was loose Got that figured out and once in the room found the thermostat was set at high temperature and the room was very stuffy. We tried to lower the temperature to get the AC to kick on, however, it was not working. We went back to the front desk to let them know as we were leaving to visit our first set of relatives, hoping they would get it fixed while we were out. When we came back several hours later, we were told the thermostat was working. It was a few degrees cooler when we got in the room so we figured all was okay. As the evening turned into overnight, the room became very stuffy and the thermostat was sporadic, at best.Later, when we were getting ready for bed, I went into the bathroom to get a shower to find one bath towel, one hand towel and two washcloths? Usually this would not have been a big deal but I felt like everything was becoming a huge cluster at every turn. My husband went back to the front desk to request more towels and returned to our room. After a very long day, we went to sleep. During the night, there was a big party of people in the hallway coming back from wherever. They sounded very intoxicated. They were very loud and since we were right down the hall from the front desk, we figured they had to have heard them too. We waited a bit and finally after about 20 minutes they quieted down. Again, if this had been the only thing, we would have shrugged it off.The next 2 days were pretty much the same: we left to visit relatives, would come back at night and deal with the noisy guest who I guess never stayed in a hotel before because they acted like they were the only ones in the place. How management let that go every night, I have no ideaBreakfast prices were extremely high -we were told breakfast was included- so we went out every morning. The final straw for me is the fact that we PRE PAID for the room AND gave my credit card for incidentals When I got home on Monday night, I looked at my credit card statement online to see the incidental charge was not removed. I figured I would give it a few more days, as it was a holiday. I waited until the following Saturday and checked again. Not only was there a $113.00 charge but the customer service person at my credit card company said there was a pending $89.00 fee from Holiday Inn. When I tried to call Holiday Inn, the phone rang and rang. No one answered and there was no voicemail to leave a message. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge and had both charges removed. I attempted to call Holiday Inn again and this time someone answered the phone but did not greet me. I heard the person checking in other guests. I stayed on the line for 5 minutes and then gave up.I do not know what is going on with this particular Holiday Inn, but I really hope the management gets their act together. Because if this was the first experience for me, it would have definitely been my last.
