Restaurang Orient - Stroemstad

I ate a pizza that was just okay. There was way too much sauce/dressing on it, they put four times the usual amount. Make sure to ask for the dressing on the side! The pizza size was large.

Every time I am in Strømstad we have lunch here, Last time I was there I had Cæcar salad, IT was The best Cæsar salad I ever had, so next time I back I will order The same. Inn The summer The prawn sandwich are very nice. The staff is very friendly and effecient. We where four people and we all enjoyed our lunch.

We loved our dinner at Orient. My son had the best meal which was a salmon pasta. Incredible. My daughter had the salmon which we all loved. I had the seafood soup and my wife enjoyed an eggplant dish. All were delicious. Eating on the outdoor patio made it extra special.

I cannot comment on the food as I went in for a drink while waiting for the ferry. On inquiring whether we could grab a drink without eating I was condescended by a waiter who rumbled I could go and get my drink myself inside (rather than being served as other customers). I did so, options being limited on the harbor to Koster islands. At the bar, I met a lady who also had been told she had to pick up her own drink. We shared our astonishment and discussed the rudeness of the waiter having sent us here. This level of service went on consistently for the full 25 mins spent at the terrace. So if you don't mind feeling unwelcome for a drink you overpay in a location deprived of charm but with a terrasse, this may be the spot for you.

I made the big mistake to order a fish soup. After 45 minutes waiting, I got a very simple taste-less fish soup which consisted mostly of white cream. What a disappointed! For that price, one should expect something much better. Maybe the other dishes are a bit better. Anyway, I would not recommend this restaurant.
