Mellow Cafe Bistro - Stroemstad

New owners, same excellent quality The Mellow café has got new owners since I last reviewed it in 2016. I’m happy to write that Mellow is just as good as before, if not even better. The interior was roughly the same. The outdoors seems to have been renovated some, but we did not try it because of the weather. The menu is relative slim, seems like they concentrate on courses they do good. We split a delicious burger with cheese and homemade ? French fries. The burger was obviously real grounded meat, just the way I want it. We had drank soda water and Eriksberg beer. The staff is very friendly and make you feel at home. Mellow is an unpretentious place, where you can eat good in a relaxing atmosphere. The only minus I could find was that the French fries in parmesan obviously was taken off the menu. I can highly recommend Mellow.

We stopped here as a late lunch option when we were on the road between Tanumshede and Moss. After we wandered east through town we passed this nice garden seating Mellow and had a very good lunch. I had the “Vegetarian Burger” and it was the best meal of our trip so far. No processed veggie-pattie on this sandwich. It was a very tasty mix of cheese, veggies and sauce that seemed to compliment each other through the last bite. Good fries as well, as a part of the order.

I saw this place and was a bit surprised how nice it looks here, and had to sit down of course. It is good to sit here by many reasons. It is cool with nice music and food. Cheers.

Had a fantastic quick lunch before taking the early afternoon ferry to Norway. Enjoyed a delicious hamburger with onion rings, bacon, pickles, and cheese on a toasted bun. The French fries were generous and topped with parmesan, served with excellent mayo on the side. The iced water was refreshing, and the price was reasonable. Bonus points for one hour of free parking (not provided by the cafe, but by the town). Overall, a great experience.

We were here for a lunch after shopping, and it was a nice break. Very friendly service, quiet atmosphere and the burger and pie was very good.
