Minami Sushi 횟집 - Streamwood

From the ratings and prices I was personally expecting a better experience. Everyone behind the sushi bar greeted us with a smile. We visited when they first opened and it was not very busy. There were several chefs behind the bar, hanging out, kinda loud. Made it for a noisy atmosphere, on top of the already louder dance music, which I personally enjoy. All fish tasted fresh. Our vegetables with udon noodles were a bit bland and vinegar/pickled flavors took over. Spicy tuna was my favorite. The Bobby roll, seemed bland along with the crab salad on one of the other rolls. Even the rice tasted more acidic for some reason. The two mochi ice cream balls was served: cut up with stirring straws as utensils. It was very odd. I may try it again if I'm ever in that area but not worth driving the 20min for it, like we did today. It has potential!

One of my favorite local spots to go eat. I usually go for lunch and get the chicken teriyaki bento box. It's filling and tastes great! This is 100% the best sushi spot around. Its the best sushi I’ve ever had!!!
