Azteca Bakery - Streamwood

I had no idea there was a bakery featuring Mexican treats! I tried it for the first time, and it was fantastic—great pastries and delicious Mexican snacks! I highly recommend this place.

If I can give it zero stars I would, Azteca bakery was always my go to for my kids birthday cakes but in the recent years there quality has gone way down. I asked the lady for red border and red letters and well they did not do as I asked, it?s a very sadlet down for my daughter and the flavor last time I ordered a chocolate cake they put a strawberry and sauce in between and theflavor was so overpowering. Never again I stopped going a long time ago for the sweet bread since again it?s not good anymorebread is too dry, pastries are too hard like they have been sitting out there for a long time.

A few days ago, I ordered a cake for 35 adults and specifically asked how large the cake should be or how many cakes I would need. They assured me that one cake would suffice, and I accepted that. However, they didn’t provide me with a price at the time, but I prepaid for it. When I arrived to pick up the cake, I was given one that could only serve 10 adults. I spoke with the manager, who acknowledged my order for a cake for 35 people but seemed unconcerned about the issue. I explained that I couldn’t serve tiny slices to a group of adults for a birthday celebration, and she responded aggressively, asking, "What do you want me to do?" I would not recommend Azteca Bakery to anyone—it's disappointing to support a business that doesn’t prioritize its customers.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of Hispanic sweets, but the selection of cakes is somewhat limited. I felt that the place could use a thorough cleaning, as it didn't give off a sanitary vibe, which ultimately influenced my decision not to buy anything. However, since my last visit, it seems like there has been a change in ownership, and the improvements are remarkable. The interior is now absolutely incredible, with a fantastic selection of ice cream, pastries, cakes, beverages, and sandwiches. I highly recommend it—great prices and outstanding service!

Came here and bought the rosca de Reyes it was deliciously super soft and flavorful. We usually get ours at a nearby place but we decided to give this place a try. And they have the cutest mini conchas! And tasty the kids loved them. I got arecommendation from my friend to try this place out. Since it was the holiday season we got into the talk of the 3 Kings bread.We went on a Sunday at about 6pm and it was kinda busy. They have a huge parking lot that is shared with a few other stores.It?s a strip mall. So there is plenty of parking. They had their big van parked out at the edge of the parking lot by the streetso it can be seen I assume since it has the bakery?s info and photos on it. It helped me find the place.
