Historische Gaststaette - Straubing

Very friendly service, good quality..the Gänse Beulen ordered tasty and fast served, even on the question of still some sauce we got the immediately without extra charge... Unfortunately, the last day was opened yesterday... I hope the hosts open a new inn, want to come back!!

We were on site yesterday with the voucher book and was really positively surprised as there were only bad reviews so far. The place was almost full and we could get the little table at the stove. We were pampered and supervised by two beautiful operas. But they weren't too intrusive. We read the Almschnitzel on the table and ordered it without much thought. It was the best scavenger we've eaten for a long time. In addition, there were delicious roast potatoes and also the extra salad we ordered extra was delicious, fresh and crispy. Generally, the menu is very clear and shows fresh preparation. The quality of the dishes was really excellent! The operating climate also seems to be okay. This place we will certainly visit again during the next trip to Straubing. Greetings from Regensburg and further So!

We were in the guest house under Rain GUR yesterday, but were not respected by the staff. After a waiting period of 45 minutes, when the operators did not even look at us, we returned with empty stomachs. We also noticed that some guests who came after us were served before us. At the side table, guests had to wait for food and drinks for one hour and then they didn't even taste it. Have rarely experienced a worse service and will immediately avoid the GUR.

Was in beautiful weather in the beer garden, which is hidden somewhat above the ground level. Unfortunately, the passing cars disturb the idyll. The beer garden can only be achieved by carrying it. Nevertheless, the beer garden is at home, typical chestnuts and pebbles. The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, our food was below average. The fish and the shrimps were cooked completely. Salad made of low quality and bad. No restaurant quality. Too bad.

As said historically, this restaurant may be, but that has nothing to do with cleanliness. I felt put into a historic Bavarian restaurant that has forgotten that not only history counts but also cleanliness. A counter operation with holes in the T-shirt and stains on it does not exactly make a welcoming impression. The tablecloths could have needed a laundry. I forgot to eat, and I quickly dumped the beer to leave the operation. Friendly, but that was it. Don't feel the urge to come back here again.
