Lai King Chinese Food - Stratford

This restaurant is nothing out of the ordinary. I would have preferred getting Chinese takeout from a mall food court instead.

This restaurant does not offer authentic Chinese cuisine. The Gong Bao Chicken with zucchini and broccoli does not meet the expectations for either traditional Chinese flavors or those preferred by Canadian customers.

I really enjoy their Seafood Chow Mein (delicious with a subtle taste and a light white sauce) and Ma Bo Tofu, but the restaurant is uncomfortably cold in the winter.

Not so tasty but great concept of just under $10 fill up your own selection of take out.. Unfortunately, the selection was lacking.. Chicken fried rice was dry and was not too fresh.. Too bad because I love the concept..

If you are looking for typical North-American style Chinese then Lai King fits the bill. The restaurant was hustling busy but we were able to get our order in good time. Food was good and hot.
