Festival Inn - Stratford

We stayed at the three-story building on Saturday, September 3, 2022. Unfortunately, there was no continental breakfast offered. During our one-night stay, we discovered a bug in the bathtub. Additionally, there was a lack of security in the building as the entrance door closer was broken, and the door was propped open all night. We noticed peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling, and there has been visible damage to the outside brick corner (N/E) for over two years. The vending machine had items without prices listed. When we checked out at 10 A.M. on Sunday and brought up the bug issue, the employee mentioned that there was no Manager on duty that day and could not address our concerns. We requested a Manager to contact us but have not received any communication from Management to date. This property operates under the Quality Hotels brand (Choice Hotels), but based on our experience, we believe this designation should be revoked by the corporation.

Very nice staff, but the motel is in desperate need of an upgrade. We stayed 2 nights. No visit from housekeeping at all to make the bed, remove garbage or for anything else. Had to hit the door with my shoulder to get it to open, coffee pot lid did not match the machine so I could only make coffee by removing the carafe lid. No top for the ice bucket. Rooms were clean but one room had a lot of carpet stains. Garbage cans outside were overflowing with garbage piled on the lawn beside them. This was not what I have experienced at other Quality Inns. What a disappointment.

The room are very big and well maintained. Pool and Hot tub are add-on to the stay. Staff is very Friendly and helpful. Also the restaurant has very good food.

This hotel is under new management and is now a Quality Inn. It is spread out and convenient if you like having your car right outside your room. Our room was large and had a refrigerator and free wifi access. Breakfast is no longer included, but the restaurant does serve a nice breakfast at a reasonable price.

They say they will give you a deal but then charge your credit card up like no other. Came back to the room and they had put all of my stuff in storage.
