Bidrage med feedbackI have to say that I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant, even for a fixed price fast pre-theater menu. The staff were friendly but rushed, and the response to my dessert issue was unsatisfactory. The feta salad my partner ordered was lacking, with a small piece of cheese and scant dressing. My venison carpaccio was tasty, but I was expecting thinly sliced venison and got a salami instead. The main course, a mild curry, was better but the cabbage was overcooked. My seafood chowder had well-cooked fish but lacked flavor, tasting only of cream and pepper. The dessert, a chocolate cup with coffee mousse, looked promising but the meringue was disappointingly hard. The addition of celestial sauce and lemon verbena felt excessive. Lastly, I found a plastic piece in my dessert, which I suspect came from the chocolate cup or straw. Overall, the menu sounded good but did not deliver as expected. The presentation was the only positive aspect of the meal.
We had an excellent and relaxed afternoon at the restaurant, made even better by securing a window table with a view of the river. This spot is usually only available on Sundays, but since the theater was closed for preparations for the new season, we were able to book a midweek slot.
Ate from the Vortheater menu, not much choice, but rather quite sufficient. my partner and I ate various appetizers and main dishes that we enjoyed everyone. shared an interesting cheese plate. we sat at the window and enjoyed a beautiful view of the river. service was friendly and professional, restaurant was really busy, but tables well spaced. a visit on the dach is a nice start to see a game. I am not happy about the additional service fee, I would have left a tip anyway.
The food at this restaurant is delicious and the service is quick and efficient. However, it is on the pricey side. For a meal for two with one glass of wine and espresso, the bill can be quite hefty. There is also a service fee added to the bill at the end of the meal, which I didn't appreciate. Despite these drawbacks, overall the experience was satisfactory and convenient before heading to enjoy a wonderful RSC performance.
We booked in here to eat before going to see Much Ado About Nothing. The location is of course excellent for the theatre and being high up you get excellent views of the town. The service is efficient if a bit matter of fact in...the way that the food is plonked down by a different member of staff each time. The food was quite acceptable but in no way exceptional either in taste or presentation.
