Lower Clopton Farm Cafe

We noticed this restaurant as we were passing by and decided to stop in on our way back. We are so glad we did! The farm shop offers excellent products, with the meat, cheese, and deli items all looking fantastic. The cafe was also very good, serving great food at reasonable prices. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem.

We decided to pick up some supplies for a weekend getaway at this shop. The food was fantastic and the butchery was excellent. Definitely worth a visit. Unfortunately, our car broke down, leaving us stranded for 3 hours. However, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They even offered to drive us to our weekend retreat. While we waited, we indulged in some delicious coffee and homemade cakes. Thank you all so much for your kindness!

The experience at this restaurant was really disappointing. We had booked a table over the phone, only to arrive and find out that our reservation was not honoured. The staff were unhelpful and grumpy when we asked about our booking. Although they did eventually find us a table, there was no apology. The food was below standard and the service was lacking. It would have been nice if the staff had been more welcoming and friendly. It felt like we were a burden to them. Overall, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

Fabulous as always. We’ve visited on several occasions and always find the food to be fresh and delicious. Our last visit was for the lambing, very special experience and the kids loved it

This farm shop has a lot of lovely produce and serves amazing cakes and drinks. But the staff are so miserable, unwelcoming and extremely unsociable. What has happened to service with a smile?
