Bidrage med feedbackGreat spot for a unique breakfast or lunch! I think the sign said open till 8pm select nights as well. Stopped for breakfast on vacation and thought is funky spot was so fun. They have a sign when you walk in showing where all their products come from! I had gluten free hot apple crumble crepe with ice cream. Boyfriend had Noah's Ark breakfast. Local coffee and local tea. Walk in they seat you and you can order from booth on your phone or go up to counter. We did counter. Food was delicious ?
This is one of the places I've been planning for months to go to on our vacation, but wasn't sure if it was going to make the cut and last minute we decided on coming here. When you walk in and get seated you look at the menu and then go in and order and then they'll bring your food out.The hostess/waitress was nice. Food prices were average. I ordered an iced maple latte and got it hot, which is fine, but they're not very sweet so if you've got a sweet tooth like me it's not a great choice. I ordered the Deja Vu crepe with apples and it was delicious, very balanced between the sweet and savory, the apples were more of a tart element, and the maple syrup was amazing. Boy ordered a dessert crepe and added extra maple syrup in case he wasn't going to get enough sugar. Husband ordered the banana and Nutella crepe and poutine. Everything was delicious. Service was good. Would recommend for a sit down breakfast, although it's hard to choose with so many coffee/breakfast shops so close to each other.
Friendly vibe, great food. Spacious interior with kids corner that has toys and books for the little ones. Very vegan-friendly menu: vegan-specific options and also can adjust other items to make them vegan. (Even their shakes! Staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome.
The Skinny Pancake offers a creative menu of savory and sweet crepes. If you’re going strictly for the food, it’s 4 stars. The food was tasty, although they ran out of pesto at 11:30am so I had to order a different dish from what I wanted. However, there is much more to an enjoyable meal than just the food. Unfortunately, the Skinny Pancake fell significantly short in these areas, which contributed to our poor dining experience. For starters, the online estimated wait time of 25 minutes was much less than our actual 60 minutes of wait time. Thankfully we ordered our food well before we were seated, otherwise we would have had to wait another ~60 minutes for the food because the kitchen was backed up. While some of the wait staff was pleasant, it was apparent to me that the staff was disorganized and scattered. The fact that the hostess readily offered us multiple 10% off cards for our wait time indicates to me that this experience happens frequently. It would behoove the restaurant to hire an experienced supervisor to refine the dining experience.Overall, the Skinny Pancake has a lot of potential but is far from reaching it.
Excellent crepes, sweet and savory were great. My wife is very allergic and they had great care in preparing her food and serving it separate Great job.
