Veterans Of Foreign Wars - Stoughton

I never would have throught that some of the best food in town would come from the VFW, but its true! My dad lives in Stoughton and told us that they had a great Friday night fish fry so my husband, infant son and I stopped by to check it out. We're so glad that we did! Not only is it a great meal, its a great value, and everyone there was so friendly. My husband and I got 2 sodas, an old fashioned, the cod dinner and the seafood sampler and out bill was only $38. The meals come with salad and your choice of soup. My husband got the fish chowder and I had the cream of asparagus, both of which were delicious! The old fashioned was sweet and smooth. The seafood platter had baked and fried catfish, perch, catfish, fries and a roll. My husband got the red potatoes with his meal. It was enough food for out dinner and I even had leftovers for lunch the next day! The next time we are in town we will definitely eat here again.Rating from F to A I give it an A .

Friendly people. Wonderful fish fries on Fridays and unique hot dogs (weenies) on Wednesdays. Wonderful big cheese burgers.

Went to see gun show, small, but friendly and courteous people there.

The VFW is a nice place to have a drink. Clean and friendly atmosphere.

Food is decent for the inflated price. The bingo use to be a lot of fun but the regulars are being pushed out by rude and obnoxious people, some of the old regulars were even threatened, they change the house rules to accommodate the rude people who only show up when the jack pot gets higher. They, the vfw, do not really care about the regulars.
