Bidrage med feedbackWe tried out the newly renovated restaurant in late June with another couple on a Friday night. The place was quite empty and we had a seat with a view of the golf course, which was very pretty. The menu was limited and they had no desserts available. My wife and I ordered the fish and chips, which were delicious and reminiscent of the UK, but less greasy. The chips were good and we didn't have to ask for malt vinegar. It was odd that there were no green vegetables on the plate. Our friends ordered burgers, which they said were very tasty, but they didn't come with fries which was strange. The waitress was friendly and mentioned that we were lucky to have ordered two servings of fish as that was all they had left. The prices were reasonable and the wine selection was decent, although limited. They also had non-alcoholic beer available, which was a nice touch. The chef/owner, James, came over and sat with us for a few minutes, explaining that they were still working on improving the menu and invited us to come back when they were fully operational. Overall, we had a positive experience and may return in the future.
Really nice course, helpful and pleasant staff, and good food. However, if you 're planning a wedding or other event, you 'll want to be aware that many of their members seem to be selfish, entitled, arrogant, and outright rude. They think nothing of driving carts or teeing off through your ceremony, or purposely parking carts in the way during pictures while ensuring you know how inconvenienced they are. Unfortunately it seems the staff doesn 't have the ability (or is unwilling) to enforce what should be common courtesy. Perhaps fining these members would go further than speaking to them in creating a member 's culture a venue could be proud of, rather than the embarrassment that exists today.
Ordered their burger combo with onion rings. Burger was cooked just right. Juicy! Onion rings were enormous... Too much food! :
Having been a member of the club for over 10 years, I was pleasantly surprised when the new management decided to open the restaurant to the public. The decision has proved to be a success, as we have been able to meet new people who may consider joining the club. The Executive Chef has set high standards for his staff, ensuring that guests will not be disappointed. My wife, who is a member, and I have had about ten meals at the restaurant this year, and we cannot pick a favorite as we have enjoyed them all.
STAY AWAY! This place doesn't have a clue. Expensive menu and sub-par food. Ordered some take-out menu items in the spring that were excellent, but when we went back to try out the patio in August it was horrible. The menu had changed and the GOOD chef (Chef Kim) was gone. The patio had a table of golf pros who I ASSUME work there, but they were very drunk and obnoxious for the whole patio. Our server seemed to be stoned out of her mind and got 3 of 4 items wrong. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF THEY ADDED AN 18% MANDATORY SERVICE CHARGE to already very pricey menu items. NEVER EVER AGAIN.
