Insomnia Cookies - Storrs

We went to take advantage of the student deal, but they refused to accept our school-issued IDs because we weren't from a specific school. We drove an hour to get there, and we were really disappointed.

Hector was fantastic! The drive was absolutely worth it.

This restaurant does not accept cash, and unfortunately, I don't have a credit or debit card. The cashier was kind enough to give me change from the tip jar, but it would be helpful if they put up signs to let customers know about their payment policy. It's not that difficult to do, and I certainly didn't want to take away from the cashier's tips.

Insomnia Cookie is absolutely amazing. This particular location is conveniently situated just around the corner from Mooyah Burger. After enjoying a delicious burger, I decided to treat myself to some dessert. Insomnia Cookie has a wide selection of cookie flavors, including chocolate chunk, red velvet, snickerdoodle, confetti, vegan birthday cake, and more. I also discovered that they serve brownies, which I hadn't realized before this visit. You can choose to have your cookies or brownies in a box or paired with ice cream, and the cookies are served warm. I opted for the classic chocolate chunk cookie with ice cream. Although there are plenty of ice cream flavors available, I went with a classic combination of one scoop of vanilla and one scoop of cookies and cream layered on top of my warm chocolate chunk cookie. It was simply divine! The employee, Octavia, was very friendly, humorous, and accommodating. Just a heads up: the store is cashless.
