The Bench Grill - Stony Brook

We celebrated our son's first birthday party here this weekend, and we just wanted to share how amazing our experience was. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was delicious, making it the perfect venue for our celebration!

I've been there two days this week, and both times were fantastic!

I ordered takeout while visiting from out of town, and it was quite disappointing. The fried chicken on the sandwich was more like a piece of leather with a dusting of breadcrumbs than any chicken I’ve ever encountered. My wife chose the hot honey chicken sandwich, which also featured the same unappetizing chicken, but without any hot honey, making it just a flavorless, rubbery disaster. During our wait, the bartenders passed by several times without even acknowledging us. The beer selection was mediocre at best. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t return.

Great fries, good food for adults, kids pizza wad lacking. Service was better than average.

Thank you so much to The Bench for an amazing experience celebrating my son’s First Holy Communion. We had 42 adults and 11 kids. The party was in the back room, which has a private bar area. The food was exceptional. The service was even better! Helena and Jess were so attentive to my guests and I appreciate everything they did to make the party a success!
