Lussmanns - St. Albans - Stoke-on-Trent

Wow! I went with my daughter and husband to this restaurant with no preconceived ideas on our part. The ham terrine and beetroot salad starters were excellent. It was the best steak I've had since leaving the meat suppliers business 30 years ago. The girls had Dover sole, which was superb. The service staff was attentive and highly pleasant, and the manager seemed genuinely interested in our experience. I haven't posted a review yet, but this experience made me want to. First class all around, and reasonably priced as well.

We absolutely adore Lussmanns! We have been there multiple times and what keeps us coming back is the amazing food, wide selection of drinks, and the attentive staff. I have even bought gift vouchers for special birthday presents in the past because I know the recipients will have a fantastic meal. Today we arrived a bit early and they took care of us, especially since we were celebrating our 17-year-old son's birthday. The Friday 'fish and chips' are top-notch! The Devon Crab starter was unforgettable, as was the Orange brûlée. It's a perfect spot for couples, families, or groups of friends. We usually go to the Lussmanns in St Albans since it's the closest to us, but we are excited to try out their other locations in Hertfordshire.

What a beautiful Italian restaurant on the high street hidden with an impressive interieur and a wonderfully simple but beautifully cooked menu of fresh delicious food. many thanks for making the birthday meal of my wife special.

We booked in quite late, but had no problem getting a table. the staff is friendly efficient and very helpful. the food was especially the appetizers and the main dishes delicious. desserts are not great. the chocolate fondant is clearly precooked and therefore cake is not fondant. but the waitress took this off the bill, because it was not as expected. for those who like a drink dos night has a great offer of a set menu and unlimited wine for £22.95
