Karahi Master Takeaway/ Cafe

Delicious food. I think this is best available locally for the type of curry I like. The Nihari was superb (I do always skim off excess oil into a teacup) Love the flavour and gravy. Fisk Karahi with added peas is delicious too. Other times we order achari lamb or chicken, this is always delicious. A lovely fragrant spicy taste. I’ve liked it here for years for these curries. I don’t try anything else so can’t comment on the rest of the menu. We did always like the chicken tikka and lamb chops a few years back and never had reason to complain.

I didn't believe in a hell until I had this curry. 1 hour wait for an absolute abomination. Chicken genetically modified to fall apart like tuna with three deceased jalapeños who died for their sons. Also, the nan look like it was frozen since the ice age. Sincerely, J&S

I have been a big fan of this takeaway for a long time. I love the food here. But I ordered two curries I have ordered many times before and they were different and no where near as tasty. I hope they haven’t lost their chef. This was way off the mark. There was no strips of ginger or lemon slices as there normally is. The sauces were not the same. Maybe it was the normal chefs day off. I’ve always told people this is the best place to get a curry in the Potteries but I’m not sure now. One final criticism is there is so much oil in these dishes too. It’s got worse. They use far too much oil. If you decide to go here, just take some time to spoon off the oil before you eat. Dishes I normally like include the chicken jalfrezi (the apna style one is my favourite) but the normal one is usually good. The achari chicken is normally tasty too. The lamb chops are very good too. If the chef has left here, I fear this place has lost its Jewell.

Lovely curries. Can’t fault it. One curry easily feed two people. You get loads of meat. Chicken and lamb mix Karahi with mushrooms is my choice every time Medium is well hot enough for me, but I am a bit of a fairy when it come to spicy food. Chicken tikka Balti Mild was more that hot enough for the teenagers. I would recommend this place. Got for it.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant and was extremely disappointed. The customer service was non-existent and the food quality was very poor. The dishes were overly greasy and salty, with a terrible taste that resembled old, stale food. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment.
