Ilton Oatcake Shop Brunch

Awful rude staff,we’re busy inside so I stood outside in the rain.When a customer came out I went to stand inside to be told by the woman serving to wait outside! prioritizing phone orders and ignoring the queue of people waiting.After being made to wait in the rain for 17 minutes and only the one person being served decided to leave.Will not be returning to a woman who speak to customers in such a foul way.

Hello everyone. These were undoubtedly the best oatcakes, but unfortunately the shop closed permanently at the end of April 2023. The service was for take out, meal type was brunch, and the price per person ranged from £1–10. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 4.

I believe they have stopped selling oatcakes without a filling. I have gone three times now and they still don't have any available. The third time, I was told to come back in an hour and they would make some for us, only to be told to come back another hour later. I am fed up with this place and will be going elsewhere.

The flavors were pleasant, however, the wraps were so thin that you could almost see through them, making them easily prone to becoming greasy when filled. It was strange that they were wrapped in plastic film. On the plus side, they did offer a variety of cheese options other than cheddar, which was a nice touch. The service was for takeout and the meal was intended for lunch. Prices ranged from £1 to £10 per person. Overall, it was an okay experience.
