Ono Hawaiian Bbq - Stockton

Ono Hawaiian BBQ on Trinity Parkway in Stockton, California has great rice plates like short ribs, chicken, or pork. Good portions. I like the macaroni salad.

The cabbage used to be cooked perfectly, and the rest of the food was served fresh and hot. However, the macaroni salad was either cold, warm, or at room temperature. For the first few years, this place was the best on Trinity Parkway, but that's no longer the case.

However, a week later, when I tried to place an order, the phone didn’t ring at all. I didn’t think much of it at first and tried again, but still no ringing. Assuming they were just busy, I decided to order from somewhere else. After another two weeks, I called Ono again for my usual order, but once again, there was no ring. I became suspicious and tried three more times, but each time there was no response. Finally, I used my husband’s phone to call, and this time, it rang, and my call was answered immediately. It turns out the Trinity Parkway location had blocked my number, preventing me from placing any orders, despite not causing any issues or confrontations. While I understand it may be within their rights, it's still pretty disappointing.

When our food was finally ready, the cashier called out our name. I approached the counter, confirmed my last name, and she carelessly tossed the food towards me before walking away. I’m very upset with how I was treated. I'll be reaching out to corporate about this issue. It would benefit the staff to receive better training in customer service, especially since this was the same employee who had previously been disrespectful and made mistakes with our order.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and absolutely loved the food. The customer service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this place!
