Bidrage med feedbackI had a Chinese takeaway last night that was decent, but I can't give it more than 3 stars for the overall experience and cost. I have to admit that a beef chow mein is a guilty pleasure of mine, and after a busy couple of days, I treated myself to it while watching a movie on the couch. I chose Happiness as it was close by and they delivered it within the 40 minutes they promised, which was nice. The minimum order for delivery is £9, with an extra 50p charge for card payment and £1 for delivery, so the costs add up if you're just looking for a quick meal. The chow mein was good, the side of vegetables was okay, but I was disappointed to find that they didn't serve Chinese chips. Instead, I received mediocre takeaway chips, of which I only ate half before throwing the rest away. In total, the meal came to £11 with delivery. It did the job and satisfied my hunger, but they likely won't be winning any Michelin stars anytime soon.
I work on Castle Street at Noyle Sports and decided to try the chicken Schezuan from the restaurant today. It was absolutely fantastic.
We were in the mood for some Chinese food as a weekend treat, but unfortunately the meal from this restaurant was disappointing. The quarter crispy duck was mostly fatty and slimy, only yielding about 3 pancakes. The chicken balls were tough and impossible to eat. It seems like we'll be opting for beans on toast for dinner instead.
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The staff member named Ali left me, a single mother with two children, without any food because of my allergies which were clearly noted. Ali was rude and abusive over the phone, and the delivery driver was just as unprofessional upon arrival. It's clear that this business is poorly managed and lacks basic customer service skills. Ali even went as far as saying they couldn't be bothered to read notes from Stockport Eats. I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment I received.
Am absolutely furious have used Happiness Chinese every week for 6 months and changed 3 dishes from the set menu box after speaking to the restaurant due to dietry requirements. They sent the box with all the original stuff and did not bother to advise me they would not change as i could have cancelled the order. I rang after being given abuse at my door step off the delivery driver and was shouted at down the phone, spoken over, told i could have a full refund but i bave to contact Stockport eats apparently. Ali was very rude and patronising. I will never ever use this take away again due to the rudeness. A simple phone call would have resolved this situation however they don't have to ring customers apparently.
