I feel so bitterly disappointed by the customer service and the lack of respect shown by the owner/manager this evening. I have been a regular customer at Deedar for 10 years, the reason for such loyalty is due to the quality and consistency of the food, value for money and great staff. Tonight I placed an order via the new online system, which is easy to use. After 1 hour we had no food I called Deedar to ask why there was a delay. I was told that it was a 1 hour 40 minute delivery time, as highlighted on the online booking … there was no time given on the email confirmation. The manager disputed this and offered no real apology and then palmed me off with a time of delivery in 15 minutes. After 1 hour and 50 minutes we received some lukewarm curry, overcooked pakoras, no salad or dips with poppadums. Recent price increases now make this takeaway less attractive but I accept the pressure on local business but a lack of respect for your customers is not acceptable in my book. Why not Pick up the phone and apologise, your arrogance obviously precludes you from that simple task! It’s a shame but we will go elsewhere for our regular Indian takeaway in future.
I have been to this restaurant multiple times, but last night's Prawn Madras was terrible. I couldn't even eat it and had to throw it away. It seems to me that the prices have gone up while the quality has gone down. The consistency of the meals here is very inconsistent. Overall, very disappointing.
We placed an order for food tonight and were told multiple times when to expect the delivery. However, we are still waiting. We will not be ordering from this takeaway again. There has been no apology and our food still has not arrived.
