Ordered two hot chocolates and two coffees plus four very excessively sugared almond buns. Despite us both being native Swedish speakers, the waitress had a hard time understanding the number of both buns and hot chocolates. I understand maths is not for everyone, but one would almost expect four drinks to fit within the capabilities of someone working in hospitality. After finally having placed the order and waiting for about 15 minutes for the drinks, it turns out that the waitress completely blanked out on the second hot chocolate, claimed we only ordered one and made us pay for the second hot chocolate. We did, but I then remembered my elderly mother (who paid for everything) had asked for a receipt, so I checked it and it did indeed say we had paid for two hot chocolates. We did get our money back, but all the hassle plus the buns that made us sick in the stomach for the rest of the day makes this place hard to recommend for anyone. Please, please support one of the independent coffee shops in Stockholm instead.
We heard a lot about the bread and pastries and thought we’d try it out, and it was excellent, and we’ll worth the stop. Pricing was reasonable
We grab some “fika” just before we board the ferry over to djurgarden. The cinemas rolls tasted very good : bit pricy but if you download the app you get 50% off your first purchase so do that!
During my visit to Gamla Stan, I stopped at this Brod Salt for a quick snack. You order and pay for your food at the counter. I had a small pizza for SEK 69 which was very good. They actually reheat the pizza in the oven for you. The service was fast and friendly. There is a large outdoor seating area but not much shade.
