The atmosphere has a nostalgic vibe and the customer service is top-notch, making us feel welcome from start to finish. Overall, this was the best meal we've had in quite some time.
I went to dinner on Saturday, February and really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. Everything was top-notch, with the scallops with pea puree being the standout dish.
We randomly chose this restaurant and were not disappointed. We immediately felt at home upon entering. The menu had a wide variety of options that appealed to everyone. The gravadlax and salmon pate were delicious. A nice touch was the complimentary tastings of hummus and chili on bread. The main courses were well cooked and presented, and the portion sizes were satisfying. I highly recommend the duck, steak, and fish and chips. Dessert, specifically the ice cream, was also delightful. The highlight for me was the small piece of tablet served with the coffee. It was the best sweet I have ever tasted, melting in my mouth. The only downside is that the restaurant is located far away. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone, as it is worth every penny.
Very good food. I enjoyed it all, my wife was less impressed with the hearty local food.
It is no easy task to find a restaurant in Stirling that presents the standards we were looking for but the Old Bridge Inn exceeded them by far. The restaurant is located in a charming small village very close from the Stirling University. The exterior as the interior is really cosy and rural. A very nice place to take a beer and eat. The chef is joining the clients and chatting with them which makes the atmosphere very relax and friendly. Food wise, a big thumb up! In a bistro like restaurant I wasn't expecting an amuse bouche but we did and the courgette soup was tasty. Every single dish was delicious and everything was homemade. My recommendation (if the dishes are on the menu): the salmon gravlax and the gnocchi with mushrooms. Overall a great experience and delicious food.
