Killin Fish Chip Van - Stirling

The restaurant offers fantastic, freshly made food and excellent service from friendly staff. The dishes are not greasy, but full of flavor. The battered fish was particularly outstanding, being beautiful and crispy without being overly hard. The fish was delicious and fresh, making it a great value for money dining experience.

During our weekend trip to Killen, my family decided to try out a chip van. Despite my belief in not judging a book by its cover, I regret to say that I wish I had in this case. The van appeared rundown and the hygiene was not up to par. The chips were unappetizing, tasting frozen and undercooked. I could only manage to eat three before giving up. The fish also lacked flavor, with the batter seeming undercooked and the fish itself tasting frozen and nearly inedible. The young man taking orders was polite, but that was the only positive aspect of our experience. Perhaps it was just an off night for them, but unfortunately, I would not be willing to give them another chance when we return to Killen. It pains me to give a negative review to a small business, but I must be honest about my disappointing experience.

Large portions for reasonable prices. Nice staff. Located in the church car park near the Co op, very easy to find

Sunday evening fish and chips were brilliant. Staff were great. Fish and chips better than competing restaurants/pubs in my opinion and my 2 companions.
