The burgers are huge and really good! The onion rings are broken beer and so delicious! The atmosphere is fun! And the staff is so friendly. We will definitely be regular here when we are in town!
I used to go to the Agave/City limits YEARS ago back in my college days, this past week when I went through Stephenville I insisted we stop at Agave to eat, after being gone for years it was time for a visit.. The food was amazing as always. but what i really need to point out is our waiter.. Rey was his name. Extremely polite, knowledgeable and very friendly. He had other tables but never failed to make sure we didn 't need anything. Made our visit much nicer. after noticing the younger college girls were just standing around I joked with him as I asked if i could speak to a manager because he was the only one actually walking around checking on customers that weren 't even his, as well as taking care of his own tables. Come to find out he was the manager. Rey is hands down the best thing that could of ever happened to agave/city limits. He went above and beyond any server myself or my family have ever had. I will definitely be back as well as recommend this place to every one I know that comes in and to request Rey. That guy has the best personality and from what I saw is the hardest worker there. I sure hope they take pride and care of him like we noticed he does with that place. Good employees are hard to find in a small college town. Thank you Rey for making my trip passing through home the absolute best. You made our day and i will remember you always!
This rating should be five stars except for inadequate handicapped accessibility. We were here for a mid-week lunch. We had hamburgers and fries. The hamburgers were huge and delicious; not an ordinary hamburger! Again, enough to take home for later. We had the very best chocolate cake with strawberries for dessert! It was delightfully delicious!! We should have had dessert first! Our server, perhaps Randall ? , was exceptional! He was prompt, attentive, and friendly. He filled our glasses before we knew he'd been to our table! Parking is in a gravel parking area. Handicapped accessible parking is designated near the steep ramp onto the outside patio. The incline of the ramp is very steep and short, much steeper than recommended for accessibility. Entrance to the restaurant is through the patio. When we left we found a more reasonable ramp at the entrance to The City Limits, down the length of the patio. Next time we will enter using this entrance ramp. The dining areas appear to be various rooms that could accommodate groups of varying sizes, even private parties. The bar area is separate from most of the dining areas. Inside and outside seating on the patio is available. The restrooms are hopelessly inadequate and do not meet the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The women's restroom has individual stalls with privacy doors. Unfortunately, none of them has transfer bars. None of them are sufficiently large and the doorway is not wide enough to allow entry for a wheelchair. Overall, the food is great, the service was exceptional, the dining areas include inside and outside seating. The inadequate wheelchair handicapped accessible restrooms is a considerable negative.
This is an incredible restaurant with a spacious outdoor seating area. It's owned by the Purple Goats, which is a lovely place that offers various outdoor activities. In this picture, you'll see one of the quesadillas we had—I really miss it! I was so hungry at the time.
