Mintage Sushi Steinkjer

Absolutely wonderful service and also very child-friendly. the restaurant itself is very well designed and looks clean. we watched the waitress thoroughly clean one table after other guests have left. the food itself was nicely prepared and delicious. if they think this restaurant is overpriced, they should consider the cost of ingredients and the quality of food. there is no complaining about the price of my side and it was worth every one we paid for it. if they are used to take cheap sushi from grocery stores or all you can eats buffet, do they please one and treat their taste stores here.

It 's mainly nouveau sushi as opposed to traditional. The food is good but the prices are far from competitive and the ingredients (mainly salmon) for me at least, disappoint.

We travelled for quite sometime looking forward to have a nice outdoor sushi meal at Steinkjer but was turned away from an empty restaurant by the waitress claiming that they are full. As a cycling tourist passing through this town, it was our biggest disappointment and felt quite unwelcomed upon our arrival so lost the appetite the moment we arrived...

I liked the idea of all you can eat where the cook decides what they eat, they never know what they get, just like a mysterious box! each portion is different depending on the day. I was a bit skeptical about the strawberry maki roll, but to my surprise it tasted absolutely amazing, just like the rest of the sushi rolls!

Kitchen closes an hour before closing time. We timed our 7 hour drive to ensure that we could eat here, arriving at 9.15pm 45 mins before their 10pm closure, only to be told that their kitchen was closed. This is not normal (we’ve lived in Norden for over a year and not had this issue previously and should be made clear in their opening hours that we checked on google and on their website. There was no apology. Rude staff (as again evidenced by the businesses reply below. Highly recommend avoiding, especially given the other reviews that state poor value for money even for Norway.
