Bidrage med feedbackSpent a full at the pool for our nieces, nephews and children to enjoy (JULY 26, 2023). We rented a large cabana for our family to relax and toddlers to nap in, which was nice; but unfortuantely, the cabana bed had white stains on one side of the bed showing it wasn't cleaned. Pretty gross. A waitress arrived to welcome us. She asked if we wanted anything to eat or drink. We ordered drinks in which she asked for a card to start a tab. My husband asked to pay as we go, but she suggested a debit or credit is required. He tried to give her a VISA gift card but she said it would not work. My husband did not feel comfortable giving her his credit card but wanted to get the order going for the family. We closed out the tab at the end of our cabana rental, and finally got the credit card back. The next morning, my husband received alerts on his phone about potenital fraud on the card he used to open a tab. Luckily, the credit card company was on top of it and declined these purchases. He immeadialtely requested for a replacement card. I think he was targeted because of his foreign looking name, and the possibility of not knowing English (which we are all fluent in). It is ashame that Harrah's employees are taking advantage of patrons by taking their credit card information and using it for their purchases. Just be vigilant of your debit/credit card use whicle at the pool/bar. My recommendation is to use cash to be safe.
The lazy river side of DIVE is a hot mess. The information on their website is incorrect: the amount of people per day bed, the check in time, and bring your own floaty. We purchased 3 days beds and under the special instruction we asked for them to be put together and they weren't. Long story short, I was lied to about getting a refund, they moved our beds but later came back an hour and a half later to take it back from our family. We ended up 6 people to one day bed. I tried clarifying with the manager on how the people that we got removed for reserved that specific bed number because there is no way to do that on the website and she didn't answer my question. We ended up leaving and not enjoying the day at the pool. We requested a refund for all 3 beds but the refund it not guaranteed. The entire experience was horrible. Oh and the DIVE store was closed so you couldn't buy a floaty.....big waste of our day.
Hotel was clean and we had a great time but overall service was lousy. Restaurants took forever to take order and serve. Lines to check-in to hotel were slow and long. Only one staffer was working the CASHIER area. Had to get in the long line to cash slot tickets. No beverage carts. Definitely not a casino where they take care of the guest. Rewards program is excellent but only because they make you do everything yourself. Where is the all the staff?
That evening, we dined at Hell's Kitchen, which was decent—especially given our large group. However, the service could have been improved; it seemed like they were only paying attention to one half of our table, which was frustrating. The seafood tower, priced around $200, didn’t seem worth it, but the beef Wellington was surprisingly good. I also noticed the scallops were cut in half to create the illusion of a larger portion, which was disappointing. We also tried their version of Top Golf, having enjoyed the real experience in Oregon, but it was poorly calibrated and didn’t work as well. Thankfully, they didn’t charge us, and we left shortly after trying to set it up. As the night went on, we stayed up socializing and watching friends gamble. When hunger struck in the late hours, we found there were no snack options available. Also, if you try to call the front desk, be prepared to be on hold for over 30 minutes. We eventually gave up and went to bed hungry. The lazy river was okay, but it annoyed me that we had to buy our own floaties, which were overpriced in their shop. They even charged an extra dollar to fill them up. The constant upselling can be exhausting. We rented a cabana, but the furniture felt outdated, and the TV only had basic channels. Overall, I wouldn’t want to repeat this weekend, but I might return just to take my dad to Hell's Kitchen. The rooms were basic and in desperate need of maintenance, lacking any particular style. The large soaking tub was undermined by the absence of bubble bath.
However, some guests have pointed out that certain areas of the resort could benefit from updates or renovations. Additionally, the resort's popularity can lead to crowded conditions at times, which may impact the overall tranquility of the lazy river and other amenities. In conclusion, Harrah's Resort Southern California provides a well-rounded experience with its comfortable accommodations, entertaining casino, and the unique allure of the lazy river. It’s an excellent option for those looking for a blend of relaxation and fun. But don't just take my word for it—come and see for yourself!
