National Hotel - STAWELL

A couple of years ago I had lunch here. It was Indian food, not bad not good, the place was dark and dingy. I went back again last week and the place has improved out of site. It has gone back to a traditional pub menu, the place is much cleaner and brighter and the food was excellent.

True pub meal with a fine rump steak and the best pepper sauce I've had. It actually had pepper I tell ya. Taff and Brian along with the bistro staff we're very welcoming and looked after the kids so well. Definitely will be coming back. Couldn't find the 10th star.

Had one the lunch specials 4x nice pieces of flathead (now 3) with chips plus all you can eat roast veg or salad for $10 you can't go wrong. Place is now much cleaner with new owner/management in place. Service was good. Give it a try! Review update 20/4/17: The homemade chicken kievs are fantastic highly recommended.

Has both gluten free and vegetarian options! So good, great price, we will be back!!
