White Star Tavern - Staunton

We are in town for a night of North Carolina and decided to taste this restaurant for dinner. It exceeded our expectations! The menu had many options and types of food. The homemade bread was absolutely delicious. Our meals were great and they gave us a delicious free cup of peppermint ice cream. Unfortunately, it cannot remember the name of our waitress, but she was incredibly nice and helpful. Very recommended!

The food was the first rate! The service was great. Robin took care of us with the greatest attention. If you're in the area, you have to try. They won't be disappointed. The best roasted green tomatoes I've ever eaten.

Wasn't here so long. We were celebrating in town family it was just like I remembered! We had Oyster Rockefeller (easy on the bacon next time), Ribs Chicken, Cajun Chicken Alfredo, Crab Cakes and Lamb Chops all delicious. Drinks were amazing! Service was great! I gave him 4 stars because the waiting situation is a little chaotic.

Our dinners were wonderful. Our server went up to recommend a local beer to my daughter. I love the fact that a historic building had a second chance and saved from the wreckball. Mill Street Grill is amazing!

Wow!!! The food here is delicious! We were visiting Staunton and was recommended to go here by our hotel front desk lady. It did not disappoint! The place was bustling on a Friday night. We didn’t mind the wait for a table. The staff was on point with juggling the hostess stand, answering calls, and handing out take-out orders. I overheard a conversation from a call in when they had to tell the customer that they were no longer fulfilling take-out orders because they were so busy. It sounded like the person on the other end was giving the hostess a hard time, but she was very sweet to them and never lost her patience. Our waitress was great and the food was AWESOME! The bread they give you with specialty butter is so good. My husband got some of the best prime ribs we had ever tasted. We joked that we hadn’t eaten that good since our cruise last year! I got the artichoke chicken and that was great too! They bring you a small complimentary ice cream at the end of your meal too! The atmosphere is unique- it’s an old flour mill. Would highly recommend going here and we plan on going back!
