Kathy's - Staunton

I visited in early December on a Monday at 11 am. If this photo doesn't lure you in, I don't know what will; pancakes were delectable, eggs fresh with huge yolks, and the bacon strips were awesome- paper thin, delicate, crispy-crunchy, perfectlycooked and very flavorful. Service was super. I wish I could post a video of the most impressive Christmas diorama outside of5th Ave NY- Took up one whole wall of the restaurant. Multiple moving figures included mice, elves, soldiers, as well as Santasitting inside his house reading his Nice and Naughty book by the light of a tiffany lamp! Cathy, please don't ever close!

Absolutely delightful! First of all, the service was great. Everyone was so kind and making a take out order was easy. Second, the food was absolutely delicious. Wonderful homestyle southern cooking. I got the steak and eggs which came with home fries andthe delicious homemade biscuits. We also got the pumpkin pancakes with cream cheese butter to split which were outrageous ! PS-special thanks to Gabriella who was so sweet and patient and even gave our dog a little treat! I appreciate the Kathy?s staff??????

I came here for lunch. There was no wait to be seated but since they were short staffed it took about 40 mins for my food to be delivered. The food was nothing special, just typical American food.

We were traveling back home and decided to stop at Kathy?s. It was very busy but we were seated rather quickly. I appreciated the sign on the door letting patrons know they were short staffed, giving people a chance to decide if they wanted to wait. Themenu has something for everyone breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was reasonably priced. Our server was attentive,friendly and professional. The atmosphere had a great energy and the decor made me feel like I was eating at my auntshouse. My daughter and I had pancakes. They were light and fluffy . delicious. My other had chocolate chip pancakes sheloved them. My son had a ham and cheese omelette as well as a blueberry wrap he ate every bite. Lastly, my husband had a combothat had a little bit of everything which he enjoyed. So if you?re on the road or if you live nearby stop by Kathy?s.

Fast, friendly, good, inexpensive. Despite staffing shortages in Staunton, we were seated and served quickly. We had corned beef hash with eggs toast. Our daughter had eggs, bacon, pancakes, the junior plate. Eggs were cooked as ordered and everything wason point yummy! Our new go to breakfast spot when we're in Staunton.
