Royal Cucina - Staten Island

I NEVER write reviews but I felt like I have to after yesterday. I used to love this business but the last few times I've been there the counter girls in the deli/to go area have been EXTREMELY rude and nasty, and the food is just not the same as it used to be... definitely not worth the price. Went yesterday and had GLASS in my rice ball and was still charged since I ate half of it already. This was only after giving it another shot from having a bug in my salad the LAST time I was there... such a shame and a turn off. Don't plan on giving them business anymore.

This is so sad to say that the best sandwich shop on the island went straight into the shitter. For two sandwich rolls $38. Really? Then on top of that they FORGOT to put balsamic glaze in my bag and when I mention it the little **** rolls her eyes and says I 'm gonna have to charge you so whenever you decide on a size lmk like I won 't slap her from old town road to Kentucky. Crazy what they hire now a days. I miss the old royal. Save your money and their chicken taste like it 's been soaked in a mop bucket. Lost a valued customer.

Use to be a big fan of this place until recently they decided to start charging a delivery charge for employees at Staten Island university hospital ! The reasoning they gave is because we are to close to me that is backwards !! How can you charge a delivery fee to frontline workers after the pandemic we just went through that is sad. Bad move royal crown

Frank the owner is very pleasant, so is his staff miss not going was a faithful client every Saturday till the virus

I ordered the Italian hero which was very good as well as a Sicilian Rice Ball(meat and peas also very good. But don 't order the Caponata( eggplant, capers, celery, what I got was potatoes, roasted peppers and 4 small pieces of eggplant. I returned it thinking I was given the wrong item, I was told in a nasty manner that 's the way I make it. His attitude was unacceptable. I wasn 't expecting any money back, but to be brushed off that way is insulting, and I 'm not a thin skinned person. If you want Caponata try other delis I don 't usually write negative revies but customer service needs to be ammended.
