The second red flag came when my shrimp order was ready. Instead of letting me check the quality of the food, she put it away immediately, and then that same man walked over and whispered something to her. The third red flag appeared when my chicken and fries arrived. The fries were clearly overcooked and had a nasty brown color, as if the oil hadn't been filtered or changed in a long time. I asked for a fresh batch of fries to go with my chicken, but suddenly they didn’t speak English and claimed not to understand what I was saying. After five minutes of trying to explain that the fries were unacceptable—despite them having understood me when I ordered—I left without any food. They came across as very shady and untrustworthy. I wouldn’t want them handling my meals at all. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone; my experience was absolutely terrible.
I discovered a dead roach in my food, and I will never order from this restaurant again. It's absolutely unacceptable. When I contacted the owners, they accused me of lying. I will never return to this filthy establishment! Always check your food before you eat!
At first, I didn't complain because I understand that things can go wrong. But then she called her boss and mentioned she would call me. I was confused and didn't know who she meant, and shortly after, I received a call from Mandarin House. The person on the line said I hadn't paid and insisted that I needed to pay in cash. This was strange since my food was right in front of me, but they claimed I had said I would pay cash and needed to pay again. I tried to explain that I had already paid and even had two screenshots showing the charge. The person on the other end just hung up on me. After that, the staff attempted to call the lady again, and a man told me that it was fine not to have a receipt, but I made it clear that if there were any issues, I would contact my bank because they wanted me to pay again. I've been ordering from this restaurant for over three years, and I've never experienced anything like this before. I ended up waiting there for nearly 20 minutes, feeling very frustrated.
