Chee Peng - Stanton

I used to enjoy this restaurant a couple of times in the past, but it appears that they have closed as of May 2017. This isn't the first time they have closed; they had done so several years ago and then reopened later. It seems that the downtown Stanton area just cannot sustain a Chinese food restaurant. It's disappointing because I was hoping to find a good alternative to the Chinese restaurant in Greenville, somewhere else in Montcalm County.

I understand why this restaurant is closing. When we visited, we waited at the front for 10 minutes without seeing any staff members. We even called out to see if anyone was there, but received no response.

My new favorite lunch restaurant. What they may lack in service is made up for in the buffet although their dishes may be small, (good food management) and they may lack the large variety of the large restaurants, but they diffently make up for in variety from day-to-day and I've never gone away without enough to eat. This adds a good choice in restaurants in our small community and I thank them for their investment in Stanton.

Their takeout is absolutely the best. We used to live nearby and enjoyed it frequently. Even though we now live in Ionia, we make special trips to the restaurant at least once a month (or more) just to indulge in their delicious food. My personal favorite is the princess beef - it's so yummy!

Best Hot and Sour soup ever and everything else is good too.
