Blue Lime Cafe and Deli - STANSBURY

We were wet from working out in some rain and needed a nice hot drink. Arrived here to a friendly face, got to know about the common interests shared by my friend and the owner. Great coffee and hot chocolate and my friends gluten free cake was yummy. I loved my banana toast and we left with smiles on our dials. What more could you ask for.

Visited the Blue Lime Cafe & Deli for coffee & cake after checking out the distinctive mural painted on its outside wall & the wall of the adjoining house. The cafe also sells quirky art works & knock knacks to decorate your home with a seaside feel. Quite an unusual sideline for a cafe, but interesting, nonetheless. We ordered a long black, cappucino, scones & a cherry ripe slice which were delivered to us at our table outside the front door. Unfortunately, the chairs were not terribly comfortable & very slippery, which made sitting on them difficult. However, the coffee & cake were what we had come for & whilst I found my cappucino a little on the bitter side, I am not a huge lover of coffee. On the other hand, my spouse is a coffee aficionado & he seemed to enjoy his long black. His scone order included 2 scones supplied with a generous amount of jam & cream which he declared to be gorgeous. I chose the cherry ripe slice & it was a perfect sized serve which was very true to the cherry ripe flavour. I loved it. A nice place for coffee & cake, but perhaps choose one of their indoor seating arrangements which looked more comfortable.

Husband asked for strong latte & got a mug of warm milk. My chai was OK but nothing to get excited about. We both asked for a ham, cheese & pineapple doorstop and we got half a hotdog roll with supermarket shredded ham, tinned pineapple with a bit of melted cheese. More like a pizza sub (and not a good one). Cost us $28. Keep driving, don't waste your money.

OK for Lunch. We called in about 2 O'clock and they were still happy to serve us. Both of us ordered the Fish, served with Salad and Chips. Nice light batter and good sized portions. Nice Staff, very friendly.
