Flora Und Salzgrotte - Stangerode

We stayed at Café and Restaurant Flora in Stangerode. On Thursday there was a menu evening on wine and herbs. In addition to all possible scientific wines from Höhnstedt and herbs from the herbal descent of Stangerode, the chefs of Chef Sascha Brandt were also at the top tonight. For me personally a big surprise. I don't know, and at this point I can forgive myself the host of my trust, when I had the last time food on the plate prepared with so much devotion, love for the profession and an additional part of the profound craftsmanship. Each spice, every ingredient and also the type of preparation were thoughtful and harmonious. From the first to the last plate perfectly tasted recipes. This isn't trying to figure out how too often something is shown in countless cooking shows, but the cook has no idea. There's someone behind the stove with Sascha Brandt who knows what he's doing. However, because I know that you can tear up the proverbious ass on the stove and that doesn't use anything if the service is not true, I don't want to stop him at this point to lose a few words to the service team. Even the personal contact at the door and the very friendly but inconspicuous reception leave a pleasant feeling of hospitality when entering the house. Then, of course, the dressing room is removed and you are brought to the table. This does not lead to an elaborate stiffness or the feeling of wearing a tuxedo here. Inconspicuous attention, a beautiful smile and sufficient background knowledge to provide further information on the menu on request, which I miss too often. Thanks to the whole family fruit team for this short holiday.

Very delicious ice cream, beautiful service, not the typical but something special. It is worth coming from Magdeburg! The ice cup ala Flora is delicious!
