The Roaches Tea Rooms

Visited The Roaches Tea Rooms at the weekend. Whilst I was there both myself and two other tables had our orders taken down incorrectly, I had the wrong drink and someone else didn’t, get the food they ordered (might have been something to do with the young waitress unable to use her pen properly owing to having unfeasibly long finger nails! No apology given by said waitress, could have been her first day but she was rude and not a good advert for the business. Other staff were excellent, despite having twice the work!

Staff were amicable and polite, service was perfect, waiting times were low (as was the price) and the atmosphere was inscrutable! Highly recommended to anyone driving by or staying in the area.

Beautiful location and service very friendly and fast, recommend coming mid afternoon on weekdays when it is a lot quieter.

Very good selection of food for gluten free needs. I enjoyed the very filling Staffordshire oatcakes and afterwards indulged in a gluten free scone.

Beautiful views across the valley. We had a very good afternoon tea. Nice selection of sandwiches, cakes, a scone with jam and clotted cream, quiche and a bowl of chips. There was a choice of plain or fruit scones. Plus coffee or tea. Very good price compared to some of the places I've been. Very nice, friendly, welcoming staff. The only downside, is that the toilets are outside, across a courtyard, so someone with mobility issues might struggle. But we will definitely go again.
