Baba On Central - St. Petersburg

What an incredible restaurant! The food was outstanding, and the cocktails were both refreshing and delightful. The staff provided excellent customer service, making the experience even better. The ambiance was just right.

Last weekend, I had dinner with my friends, and the food was delicious. The hummus and bread were on point! I ordered the rack of lamb, and the presentation and flavors were truly outstanding. I just wish it had been served warmer; I understand they were a bit overwhelmed due to a staffing shortage. I also ordered a Palestinian beer, but it was the last one they had—I wish they had more available. Overall, we had a fantastic time. I would recommend adding cushions to the outdoor patio dining chairs, as they became a bit uncomfortable after sitting for a couple of hours. The location is beautiful!

We happened upon this gem of a restaurant while looking for a place to eat prior to catching a Jays game at the Tropicana . Can’t say enough good things.. very interesting and creative menu, excellent service (thanks, Eric! and pleasant surroundings. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious .. house made hummus and pita, perfectly spiced and cooked lamb chops and catch of the day, finished off with a creative dessert based on combinations of watermelon! Will go back, for sure!!!

Today’s visit to Baba was for lunch which we have never done. We have been for dinner, not lunch. We were surprised to see breakfast type dishes on the menu which were all very intriguing. However, today we decided to share the spread sampler. We choose 3 spreads to share. We asked if we could get pita as well as crudité. I am gluten free so I was able to eat the vegetables with the spreads. My husband ate the pita. I was given quite a selection of fresh vegetables. All three spreads (dips) were delicious. Our favorite was the beet horseradish. Our server (I’m sorry I forgot your name)…was friendly, prompt, and helpful. We asked for a wine recommendation and she was spot on with her suggestion. It was smooth, refreshing, and perfect for our lunch. See you again soon, Baba on Central.

Hanging out for lunch and this little gem in St. Petersburg Fl. I was here a couple years ago but it was as good today as I remember. This place had a Mediterranean slant with diverse menu. (See Photo). Nice veranda with an out door living room attached. (See Photo). In the other photo you can see a quaint well stock bar. Great food and drinks make for a fun Saturday afternoon.
