Bidrage med feedbackOkay the hotel is a bit old fashioned and dated and the rooms need some modernisation but the room was clean and tidy. The staff were also good. I had a corner room (205) and it was a reasonable size. The down side was that the TV was small and old fashioned with no channel list and the tap in the bath would drip away constantly. However that said, its not the end of the world. The breakfast option is not great though if you have it included with the room rate. You have a very basic choice of two cold or one hot option and a coffee or small cold drink. The restaurant was also closed after breakfast. Not a major issue as plenty of places within walking distance but surprised the hotel does not cash in on offering an evening meal option. Try the Hollander Tap bar which is a 5 minute walk away. Parking is valet at $25 per day. All very efficient in that you can text for your car to be ready. A slight shame that at the daily rate that you don’t get a bottle of water in the room though. There is an option to buy in the foyer though. Good location and about a 10 minute walk to the beach front area. Would i stay again, yes but at the right price. Note that the rooms are due a make over with bath room’s according to receptionist being refitted soon.
Nice clean hotel. Right downtown St. Petersburg. It’s old structure but well maintained and it looked great. Room clean and comfy bed. Kept car on valet, otherwise you need find a parking around the area. Lots small restaurants within perimeter. Would of loved to see the pool but just stayed 1 night. During check in Ameer was very professional and answered all our questions. Great customer service by the young gentleman. Hope be back soon for another nice relaxing night
The building is beautiful and the location is within walking distance of nightlife, restaurants and shopping. The kitchen staff was exceptional, dealing with a large influx of people in a very pleasant and efficient way. I also, very much enjoyed my encounter with the valet, who was friendly and efficient. Other than that, I would not reccomend this hotel at all. Cleanliness was an issue with my room. There was food from a previous guest in various places on the floor. There was an entire chip behind the trash can in my bathroom, and on the first morning of my stay I encountered a dead cockroach on the floor of my bathroom. My biggest isue was with the customer service. My air conditioner was extremely noisy (I'm not an HVAC technician but it sounded like a compressor was going out). The noise stopped and started throughout the time the air conditioner was running, which made it very distruptive. After an almost completely sleepless first night, I spoke with a woman at the front desk and asked her to send somenone up to check it out while I was out for the day. When I arrived back at the hotel that evening, I found that the issue had not been resolved. I went down to the desk and spoke with the General Manager. He informed me that the morning attendant had never let the maintenance staff know about the issue. He apologized and let me know that they had nowhere to move me and offered a fan to help with the noise, and I accepted. At this point he also offered to provide a partial refund which I declined. I just asked that he make sure it get resolved the following day, which he agreed to putting a note in my account. He said he would send someone up with the fan, but after about 40 minutes of waiting, I had to go back down to see if I could just grab the fan myself. After a tense back and forth with a man on a walkie talkie, the GM brought the fan up himself. I slept that night with the air off and the fan running. When I returned to my room on the final night of my stay, the air conditioner was as loud as ever. While I completely understand that fixing it might not have been in the cards because of a need to order parts or get a service professional in, my issue with the whole debacle is that I had no communication from anyone. I have no idea if anyone even came to look at it while I was out on my final day. There was no no email, note, phone call, or text to give me the courtesy of an update. This lack of communication was the worst part of the entire experience. No one cared that I wasn't able to sleep comfortably which is a key component to a hotel stay.
I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott St. Petersburg Downtown due to its location being exactly where I needed it to be. The hotel is an average hotel, older and run down in ways. The air-conditioner ran very loud at night, ear plugs were a must. The temperature of the room was comfortable, as was the bed. With ear plugs, I slept very well. The room was in need of a serious structural cleaning. For example, the chair had stains all over it, I did not sit on it without a towel to cover it. The wallpaper was dirty, both the walls in the bedroom and the bathroom. The bathtub/shower area had poorly done calking that was in need of attention. The cleaning staff that I interacted with were all very nice and accommodating. I do not think this is a cleaning staff issue, it appears more of a management/ need for higher attention issue. There was a mini fridge in the room that I appreciated. I chose street parking over valet as I wasn't at the hotel during the day, it was fairly easy to find at night, less so during the day.
Beautiful historical hotel with excellent service . Thank you Shaun for setting the example of service leadership . Your staff is well trained and is a reflection of you . Our room received a high level of attention daily , the hallways smelled nice , and the cafe attendants expressed above and beyond service expectations . I look forward to visiting your well managed hotel soon .
