Add this to your must-try new restaurant new the Fox Theater! Great service, great space decor, smaller on the menu side but filled with options to entice every eater on your reservation.

Oh my, the portions! We dined at Commonwealth before a show at the Fox and are glad we selected this venue. The menu is unique, and everything was delicious. We highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip, strip steak and carrot, ginger soup if they have it. Our server, Matthew was fantastic, and while the location, menu, and experience feel very upscale, the atmosphere is very relaxed. We were so pleased, I made a reservation there again before a show next week.

We would go to commonwealth again. It was good to very good. Menu is somewhat limited. Burger was excellent. Shrimp and grits were good, not great. Apple flatbread appetizer was very good. Service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere of the location was sparse with uncomfortable chairs, sticky floors and overall lack of any warmth. Small changes in decor, a few more options on the menu would go a long way.

We chose Commonweath because it was close to Jazz St. Louis. The noose was deafening before the crowd left for the Fox; after that there were few people left. Our food was delicious, but I would like to see some lighter dishes featured in the entree section.

Better choice of Music. More sophisticated. You are catering to a show crowd. Probably short on help, however, making sure the food was hot would help.
