However, someone came out and informed me that no animals were allowed. I explained that my dog is a licensed service animal and even had the necessary paperwork on hand. When the owner approached, he refused to look at my medical records or doctor's note and bluntly stated, "Unless you’re blind, service animals are not allowed," before asking my group and me to leave. I’m glad we took our business elsewhere. The restaurant's attitude was unwelcoming and discriminatory towards individuals with disabilities. It would be considerate if they had a sign clearly stating that no animals, including service animals, are allowed before customers enter, so patrons don’t have to be embarrassed in front of others.

When our server came by to check on us, she politely mentioned that she would be changing shifts, and I decided to settle the bill with her. Thankfully, I did, because the new server seemed more focused on a group of her friends at the bar than on us. I might drop in for a drink in the future, but I won’t be returning for a meal. There are too many better options available on The Hill.

The food was just average and served on styrofoam plates, which is disappointing. Who wants to dine at a restaurant only to receive their meal on disposable plates, especially given the rising costs of dining out in a post-pandemic world? We sat outside, where it was a bit windy, and one of the flimsy plates carrying a salad ended up blowing off the table and into my lap. While the outdoor atmosphere is pleasant, the patio furniture is lacking, featuring mismatched, worn-out plastic chairs and tables that look cheap and uninviting. The service was slow; it took a while for the waitress to acknowledge us, and when she finally did, her demeanor was unfriendly. She assumed we already had a server because we had picked up the menus, as if it was our fault for wanting to review our options. Overall, I won’t be returning.

We stopped by to watch a boche ball tournament, really fun to watch, great atmosphere, fun place!
